Take Action: Tell your U.S. Representative to eliminate supervision
Last week, U.S. Representatives Sam Graves (R-MO) and Jared Huffman (D-CA) reintroduced the “Save America’s Rural Hospitals Act” (H.R. 833). The AANA is thrilled to announce that this legislation now includes a provision that would permanently remove physician supervision of CRNAs under Medicare Part A conditions of participation.
Endorsed by the National Rural Health Association, this legislation comes at a time when rural hospitals and health centers are facing unprecedented challenges and struggling to keep their lights on. CRNAs are the predominant providers of anesthesia in rural areas, and removing supervision will ensure that all patients, especially those in rural areas, have access to high-quality, cost-effective care.
We need your help to get as many cosponsors on this important legislation as possible. Please follow the instructions below to email your U.S. Representative today!
