Communications Committee
The Communications Committee develops and implements membership communication strategies and public relations strategies that promote the mission and strategic plan of VANA. The committee oversees the VANA Newsletter (Monitor), website, and social media platforms.

CRNA PAC Committee
The CRNA PAC Committee develops and implements fundraising strategies that generate contributions from VANA members and works with the VANA Lobbyist & Government Relations Committee to identify candidates for public office that VANA should make campaign contributions too.

Education & Programs Committee
The Education & Programs Committee develops and implements educational programs for membership in accordance with the continuing education standards and guidelines of the AANA. The committee participates in the selection of meeting sites and speakers for VANA meetings and plans the Annual Meeting.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee develops the annual budget for approval by VANA membership, recommend financial strategy to the Board of Directors, and oversees the annual audit.

Government Relations Committee
The Government Relations Committee (GRC) works with and under the direction of the VANA Board in matters pertaining to state & federal advocacy efforts regarding the practice of CRNAs. The GRC, working in conjunction with the VANA Lobbyist, addresses matters regarding legislation, regulation, public policy, and the advancement of CRNA practice in Virginia. The committee is charged with the task of developing a plan to increase CRNA understanding and awareness by engaging and working closely with our lobbyist. The GRC strives to increase statewide CRNA engagement in advocacy and relationships with legislators, elected officials, regulatory agencies, and the public.

Health & Wellness/Peer Assistance Committee
The Wellness/Peer Assistance Committee creates and implements programs providing education and services for members pertaining to wellness, fitness and peer assistance. The committee serves as an advocate for promoting the health of the general membership and is expected to contribute to VANA’s newsletter (Monitor), website, and social media platforms.
