Advocacy

Virginia’s CRNAs deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care to patients across the Commonwealth — and the policies that govern that care matter. VANA monitors, shapes, and responds to legislation that affects the CRNA profession in Virginia. This is where that work lives.

Our Priorities

VANA actively monitors legislation affecting the nurse anesthesia profession in Virginia. Below are our current priorities for this legislative session. Click any initiative to learn more, find resources, and take action.

Government Relations

VANA’s Government Relations Committee (GRC) works alongside our lobbyists to monitor legislation, develop advocacy strategy, and represent the interests of Virginia’s CRNAs at the state and federal level. The GRC makes recommendations to the board and leads engagement during the Virginia General Assembly session.
