It’s been a few years since we engaged in our last PAC Challenge with TANA, the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists, but we know Virginia CRNAs are up for another friendly competition, and we are aiming to surpass our previous fundraising efforts with a multi-state PAC Challenge this year.
This year, as CRNAs across the country work on issues related to our profession, we hope to level up the awareness and engagement by participating in this challenge with other states located in AANA’s Region 2. We hope this proves to be a friendly, motivating way to encourage our members to contribute to the PAC, particularly as we gear up for another busy legislative session in early 2027.
If you’re unfamiliar with VANA’s PAC, that’s okay. VANA staff and leadership are here to help answer questions and to help demonstrate the value of having a strong PAC. The Virginia CRNA-PAC is designed to buy access, NOT votes. When an organization can contribute to fundraisers or events being hosted by candidates, we can access time with them and in that time, we can educate them around issues important to CRNAs and the profession across the Commonwealth.
Along with the neighboring states that will join us in this challenge, we are aiming to engage in a fresh, fun-filled fundraising competition that promises to make the PAC participation experience a fun one. Remember, no amount is too big or too small to make a significant difference in the lives of all CRNAs practicing in Virginia.
