This week marks National CRNA Week. This is AANA’s annual celebration of anesthesia patient safety and the nation’s 52,000+ Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and student registered nurse anesthetists who safely and cost-effectively provide approximately 43 million anesthetics each year. The recognition helps patients, hospital administrators, healthcare professionals, policymakers and others become more familiar with the CRNA credential and the exceptional advanced practice registered nurses who have earned it.
I want to take the time to thank each of you for your service and commitment to the profession.
Throughout the week, consider how you can help educate your families, friends and acquaintances on the importance of the CRNA’s role in healthcare. Also, consider using the hashtag #crnaweek in your social media postings to generate more awareness of this important week.
